Trying to Get Those Hours In: Hours 174 – 176

Went to a private screening of my first produced feature yesterday. A small budget film for a very specific Christian audience about the Rapture (Rapture = when all the “believers” are zapped into heaven in the blink of an eye). The film is targeted at a young, faith-based audience and is based on a series of children’s books called The Left Behind Series — a kid companion to the adult series of the same name. We have changed it completely from the original children’s series — all new characters, storylines, and have made it much more like the current YA genre. The only thing resembling the books is the event of the Rapture.

Anyway, I’m proud of it.

But getting in these play hours… hmm…

LA traffic, the screening, and feeding my face took up 7 hours of the day. So not much left over…

But… I did do something… not on the talking to strangers project, but more sentence art. It felt so good to sit down at my new/old typewriter and let it rip. Then I ran around and looked for things to use as a background for my sentences/poems. The statue my very lovely, and very talented daughter, Annalise, made served as a pretty darned good background if you ask me…

I call this... my new resume...
I call this… my new resume…

I am all these things… and I’m allowing myself that kind of room… moving forward I wonder what it will bring.
